Database Administration Project Report
This is a report that contains all the work that I’ve done throughout the semester in the database administration module. It will begin by describing the installation process, followed by the exploration of Oracle 11g from SQL Plus and from SQL developer. I will then look at the “File Management” section, followed by the “Memory Structures” section. Oracle processes will then be looked at in detail, this being made up of server, background and slave processes. The final sections of this document will look at “locking and latching”, “concurrency and multi-versioning” and transactions.
